How Do I Get Started?

At your initial appointment, Dr Benyamin Mansoori Medical Cosmetic specialist physician will conduct a comprehensive medical history and explain the procedure to you. Allow half an hour for this appointment.

Dr Ben will put together a treatment plan with you, including suggested number of sessions and expected outcomes.

Please feel free to discuss any concerns and ask any questions you may have at any time. We will ask you to sign a consent and give you any aftercare instructions.

The local anaesthetic is optional – may people feel fine to proceed without them and use ice only as numbing. The most Cosmetic procedures are typically no more painful than other simple injections.

Acne Treatment

What is acne and why does it occur ?

Acne is an inflammatory skin disease that causes pimples or blackheads on the skin. Acne occurs when the hair follicles under the skin are covered or blocked by blackheads.

Acne can occur at any age, but nearly 80% of affected people are teenagers between 13 and 18 years old. Although acne is normal, it can become excessive and be associated with a skin condition. Although this is not a serious health problem, it can cause emotional distress and scars on the face.

Who may suffer from acne ?

All patients who are somehow affected by Acne can be evaluated by our doctors of Capstone Medical Center, without age restrictions or special contraindications. Although the patients are mostly teenagers, in many cases even adults can suffer from acne. It is important to emphasize that treatment can be started early, that is, before the appearance of serious lesions or permanent consequences and symptoms on the skin. For this reason, we recommend that patients visit our Gp specialist on time even after starting the treatment process and perform frequent examinations to follow up cases.

Lip Enhancement

Capstone lip enlargement by using hyaluronic acid, you can wear more sensitive lips. Hyaluronic acid is a compound that is normally found in our body and has been synthesized through genetic engineering. With this, we can increase the lips depending on the taste of each patient. This is an advanced cosmetic procedure performed in the office.

Dr. Ben uses an advanced cannula injection method that causes the least pain and is much safer. We spend approximately 30 minutes on the program. The duration of the effect can vary from 12 to 18 months depending on each patient. Since it is a component found inside the body, it gradually degrades over time, so it does not cause irregularity or deformity in the face.

Anti-Wrinkle Injection

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables are made from a purified protein that temporarily causes facial muscles to relax, softening lines and wrinkles and reducing the severity of visible wrinkles.

Anti-wrinkle injections are the most common, sought-after procedure to prevent lines and winkles and prevent the signs of aging. The procedure is quick safe and effective

The most common treatment areas for anti-wrinkle reduction are crow’s feet (lines around the outer eyes), glabella (between the eyes) and the forehead. Other areas including ‘bunny lines’ (lines on the nose), jawline, chin, and neck.

Muscle relaxants can even be used to treat excessive sweating and jaw grinding.

Anti-wrinkle injections

How do wrinkles form?

Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process. With age, our skin gets thinner, drier and we lose elastin. The ability of our skin to protect itself is reduced as we age. Eventually, wrinkles, creases, and lines form on our skin.

Continuous muscle contraction is also another major contributor to facial wrinkles. Continuous muscle movement causes ‘dynamic wrinkles’ which only appear when the muscle is used.

Over time, if untreated, these wrinkles can become ‘static wrinkles’ which means they become permanently etched in our skin.

Whilst the face is in motion the lines that appear are known as dynamic wrinkles. However, repeated movement over time forms deeper lines and folds, these are known as static wrinkles.

How does anti-wrinkle injections work?

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables work to prevent the formation of static wrinkles by stopping the signal between the nerve and muscle.

The decreased movement in the muscle places less stress on the skin helping you maintain a fresh and youthful appearance. This treatment is most effective when used as a preventative measure.

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables are made from a purified protein that temporarily causes facial muscles to relax, softening lines and wrinkles and reducing the severity of visible wrinkles.

Dermal filler

Dermal fillers are designed to add volume, lift and symmetry to your face, giving you a refreshed and natural appearance. Most popularly used to plump lips and enhance the cheek. One of the most popular advantages to dermal fillers is that the results are instant.

Dermal fillers are a non-surgical treatment primarily used to contour, shape, volumise and proportion the face, making them a very powerful tool for facial rejuvenation or enhancement.

The most used dermal fillers are made from cross-linked hyaluronic acid. They are temporary and reversible.

Facial volume loss is one of the key factors in the aging process so dermal fillers help to replenish this lost volume and rejuvenate the face, restoring it to a more youthful, plump, natural-looking beauty.

After-Care

Lipolysis (aka ‘fat dissolve’)

Lipolysis (aka ‘fat dissolve’)

What Is Lipolysis Treatment?

Lipolysis (aka ‘fat dissolve’) injections are indicated for improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe convexity or fullness associated with submental fat, also called ‘double chin’ in adults.

Although primarily used for ‘double chin’ reduction, the injections can also be used in other small ‘problem areas’, such as the lower abdomen, tops of the knees and backs or tops of the arms.

The active ingredient in the injection substance is a synthetic form of a substance your body makes to help break down fats in the body by destroying the fat cell wall. This process takes approximately 8-10 weeks, after which time, all the fat cells in the injected area have been destroyed permanently.

The inflammatory process brought about by the destruction of fat cells also triggers fibroblast activity, meaning your body makes collagen to help repair the skin around the injected area. This gives an added bonus of helping to minimize the potential for sagging or loose skin afterwards.

If there is loose skin down the track (as will tend to happen with time + gravity), there are several options, including plasma pen therapy and PDO threading.

How Many Treatment Sessions Do I Need?

Typically, two and occasionally three sessions of injections are required at least eight weeks apart. Occasionally, only a single session is required, usually when treating very small areas of fat.

Non-surgical face thread lift

Thread lift Patient Information

If you are looking for a non-surgical way to refresh, revitalise and rejuvenate, then threads and thread lifting, using collagen threads, could be your answer. Thread lifting is one of the fastest growing anti-ageing treatments to revitalise your look and enhance your natural contours without surgery with a minimum of downtime.

Threads and thread lifts are designed to provide lift, tighten saggy skin, smooth wrinkles, stimulate collagen production and improve skin tone, texture and colour to give you a more natural long-lasting appearance. Results start seen at 12 weeks and continue to improve over many months. Benefits of a thread lift can continue for several years after treatment, depending on how well you look after your skin and overall body health.

Thread lifting is a popular procedure to achieve that younger refreshed look without altering your appearance.

It is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. This means there is no cutting of the skin as there is with other procedures and no scarring. The advantages are a minimum of downtime and a significant cost saving compared to traditional treatments. Typically the procedure takes 30 to 45 minutes and you can return home immediately afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Generally, there are two types of thread lifts :

  • Smaller/PDO Threads which tighten the skin and boost collagen production, and
  • Longer threads which physically lift the skin, as well as volumise, tighten and boost collagen.

Small threads work to boost collagen and tighten skin, whereas long threads create actual ‘lift’ where it is needed, such as the jawline or brow. We may recommend a combination of both long and short threads, depending on what sort of aesthetic outcome we want to achieve for you.

Local anaesthetic is used to minimise pain and discomfort. This may be injected or applied topically, depending on the area and the type of thread we are using (typically, injectable local anaesthetic is used for longer threads whereas topical anaesthetic is used for shorter, mono threads).

Thin, medical-grade threads are then inserted gently into the soft tissue of the areas to be tightened and/or lifted. Longer threads are cut off at the entry points, then the ends of the threads are buried under the skin so they are no longer visible.

There is no cutting of the skin and therefor minimal risk of scarring. The absorbable threads dissolve within several months, but before they dissolve they create a support scaffolding of collagen for the skin that supports and/or lifts the skin for many years to come. In addition to the lift effect, a thread lift will create new skin firmness with improved skin colour, skin tone, texture and hydration.

The unique long thread design utilising specially developed and patented soft barbs (also known as cogs) attach to the surrounding tissue just like Velcro to help hold the skin in place to achieve the desired lift effect. The benefits of a thread lift can last for several years depending on the areas treated and individual response.

We may also recommend threads in combination with other treatments such as dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, depending on your requirements.

Absorbable threads have been available in Australia and New Zealand since 2009. The material from which the absorbable threads are made from is the same material that has been used in conventional dissolvable sutures that have been used in surgery for many years.

  • Increased production of collagen
  • Tightening of skin in and around treated area
  • Fresher, rejuvenated appearance

Double action effect creates:

  • A lifting action for an immediate lift effect
  • A rejuvenating effect as with short threads, with the restoration of lost collagen.
  • The threadlift works to improves skin tone, texture, colour and hydration.
  • There is minimal risk of scarring

For patients who have excess sagging skin – for example, around the jawline – a thread lift is unlikely to provide sufficient ‘lift’. Furthermore, the sagging skin will ‘pucker’ and may not resolve.

In such cases, we may suggest a surgical facelift. Threads are ideal for patients who only require small amounts of life and who have minimal excess skin.

It is not uncommon to have this procedure combined with other cosmetic procedures such as botulinum toxin to reduce facial muscle activity, dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid or fat to enhance skin volume and laser or IPL therapy to improve skin texture and collagen formation.

We can put together a treatment plan with you, designed to help you get the best results over a period of time.

When you make your initial enquiry, Dr Benyamin Mansoori Medical Cosmetic specialist physician will book you in for your consult.

At this initial consult, we will discuss all aspects of the procedure fully with you, in particular expected outcomes, recovery & downtime, follow up appointments and required medications. Please feel free to ask any questions and discuss any concerns you may have – we like our patients to be as informed and empowered as possible!

We will ask that you give us the name and number of your next-of-kin for our records; it’s important that we have a second contact besides yourself – purely for safety reasons. For our out-of-town patients, we will be in touch before the procedure to ensure everything is organised according to your individual circumstances before we proceed.

The first most important difference is that threads and thread lifts are non-surgical procedures, meaning they are not performed under a general anaesthetic in hospital. Instead, they are done as in-clinic procedures, under local anaesthetic with light sedation if preferred.

Furthermore, there is no cutting of the skin, meaning less trauma, less pain and less downtime.

Finally, threads and thread lifts are a fraction of the cost of a surgical facelift, making them much more accessible and affordable.

Indication For Face Rejuvenation

Face Rejuvenation can be beneficial for people with wrinkles, sun damage, or scars.

Bio stimulation with platelet-rich plasma is a procedure that serves to biologically activate the functions of the fibroblast, the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin. As a result, the skin looks firmer and smoother.
